Councils At ICoFP

International College of Financial Planning has a very active student body and there are many opportunities to explore your particular interests. The Council gives you the chance to apply what has been learned in the classroom and to gain invaluable leadership and life skills. In addition to connecting you with others who have similar interests, you have a platform to interact with alumni and professionals in your field of interest, helping you to build networks while exploring career opportunities.

Supporting the Placement team by increasing the company data base.

The students will understand the job market and competition thoroughly.

2) Arranging Guest Lectures/Mock Interviews/Grooming session etc from Alumni's.

3) Interview/Admission referral from Alumni's.

4) Annual Alumni meets.

5) Strong alumni groups on what's app, Facebook etc to keep them connected.

Arranging meeting with corporate for Placement Presentation.

Maintaining database year wise for alumni's.

To ensure the correct and updated information of the alumni's/Online Registrations on Website

Arranging Guest Lectures/Grooming/Mock Interview session etc by them.

Also maintaining the database of frequently asked questions from the most hired companies of ICOFP.

Keeping a connect on Facebook or any other social media etc.

Forming an Alumni group on Facebook.

Calling some dedicated number of students every week to maintain details of alumni's.

Objective
  • To inculcate the habit of reading &analyzing Business news & current affairs.
  • To enable them to comprehend the published research reports and financial & economic data/policies.
  • To develop the report writing skill of students.
  • To increase the general awareness of students regarding the Indian Economy and Business World.
  • To inculcate the habit of reading business, financial & motivational literature.
Key Responsibility Areas
  • Preparing one book review
  • Study Financial Products (including structure Products, REITS, venture capital funds, REITS) as and when launched in the market.
  • Performance of Sensex and Nifty since inception and during various economic phases
  • Tracking the economic indicators (IIP, monetary policy, inflation, Purchaser's Manager's Index, etc.) and study the effect of each of themon the stock market.
  • Keeping themselves updated about the current events in the Financial Markets and economy and updating the classmates about them.
  • Study about various financial market crisis globally. Understand the concept, the reason and the cause of the crisis, who was involved, what laws were violated and what changes have been done by the regulators after such crisis.
  • Conduct surveys, research about the topics assigned to you and prepare a report.
  • Writing 1 research paper/blog on the area of interest.
  • Make reports and presentations to the entire class on monthly basis.

  • To help the students create valuable social connections and cultivate relationships.
  • To create awareness of ICFP events and amplify awareness of the academic delivery, students activities, placements and other activities among external community.
  • To make students understand the power of social media and productive use of the same for professional and personal growth.
Core Activities (routine and periodic) Routine Activities:
  • Update Facebook/Linkedin page with articles and photographs such as events photographs, memorable events spent in college with small note and photograph, star faculties, research reports, literature club book reviews, uploading FinLingo, FinWiz, FinQuiz on daily basis.
  • Blog writing on academic and non-academic topics (1 per month).
  • Coordinating with various clubs (Placements, students council and research) for photographs, activities, articles, research reports for uploading on social media. – daily basis
  • Share the FinLingo, FinWiz, FinQuiz on daily basis on Whats APP and Facebook.
  • To become fans and followers of the club's profiles and to share club-generated content within their personal networks on social media, like and add comments on the stuff posted. – on each and every post uploaded on facebook.
  • To connect on LinkedIn with other people in the finance industry (including alumni). – Atleast make 10 connections per week.
  • Making ICoFP pages the best thing on facebook – post pictures; write comments, initiate quizzes/polls.
  • Post tweets, track followers and keep all well informed.
  • Instagram /pinterest can be included as captivating imagery /visual sharing, will help in retaining interest
  • Forums for interactive discussion can be a great source of externally updated information (can be interactive and event driven)
  • Google + can be considered, where content communities be created, with ample shares, reviews and recommendations coexist
  • Weblinks be given for some amazing pieces of articles, and other updates
  • Fascinating Videos on various interesting aspects of finance
  • Delivering content that is of relevance and absorbing to audience
  • Ideation of visual, concrete or abstract thoughts (important)
